I've heard a rumor, that this reunion will come to an end in December with a concert in London. let's hope this isn't true and more shows are annouced besides festival performances, so real fans will get to see them again!

29 January.14 Slowdive Reform!
As suspected, Slowdive have indeed reformed. The initial imputus was record new material but they had a great offer from the Primavera Sound, Barcelona on May 30. They are also playing Village Underground, London on May 19th.

Here are 2 articles about the reunion.
Slowdive Discuss Primavera
There Seems To Be A Lot Of Love Out There

Also check out the Official Slowdive site

Here is another exclusive interview. It mentions that the US was their strongest market, so hoepfull they will tour here!

20 January.14 Slowdive open a twitter account
Is this a sign that the band are indeed planning a reunion? The first several followers were members of the band and now Rachel seems to be having a coundown to something on her personal Twiter accounts, which ends on January 29th. Check out their Twitter account HERE UPDATE: Apparently the reunion is going to happen but they are only going to be playing festivals. This is what Alan McGee must have meant them playing big venues.

24 November.13 Slowdive reunion in the cards?
It is looking more and more likely according to new rumour. Alan McGee mentioned at a recent book signing of his new autobiography, Creation Stories Riots, Raves and Running a Label, that they are reforming and "playing quite big venues". Another source from a guy in the industry, also told a friend recently that he heard the same thing. You heard it here first! (er 2nd)

21 November.13 Neil and Rachel perform live!
They played 2 songs at Cecil Sharp House, London on October 24th, 2013! If you recall, Neil said he was up for a reunion a couple of years ago.

18 September.10 Interview with Simon Scott on Slowdive
Check it out at Viceland. Check out the latest on Simon's activity on Facebook. He has several ambient releases under his belt now.

Cherry Red reissues Slowdive
Cherry Red records has reissued all of the Slowdive albums. Disc 2 of Pygmalion comes with Pygmalion demos but from what I've heard they just took these off the web and are the same quality as what you can download. Be weary of Cherry Red releases, they use poor quality mp3's and inferior vinyl rips on many of their releases.

16 Nov.04 'Catch the Breeze' released finally
On November 15th. And the best news of all is that contains a previously unreleased song after all. It contains a Peel session of 'Golden Hair', a cover of the Syd Barrett song that appears on their 3rd ep. The album art is different now.

29 October.04 I am an Elephant, you are a mouse soundtrack to be released?
I can't believe I forgot to post this. I got an email from Forest Wise in September, the director of "I am the Elephant, you are the Mouse" and he is in talks with Neil about finally gving this soundtrack an official release on Neil's label (Ed: I didn't know Neil had a label). The rumors of Forest selling the master tapes on eBay are false. The movie is getting a DVD release next year, It will be re-telecine and re-cut.

The tracklisting has been announced. It will be released on October 25th on Sanctuary records. Sadly it contains no unreleased material. DISC 1:

19 May.04 'Catch the breeze' compilation
According to a post by Rachel Goswell on Mojave 3's messageboard. Slowdive are unaware of this compilation but she also says that they're getting the rights back to their stuff this year, so I suspect we will see reissues. Let's hope that they release unreleased material and maybe a live CD and DVD. I also read on the same forum that Castle Records still hopes to release the compilation, but it is on hold at the moment subject to discussions with Sony.

13 May.04 Rachel Goswell's Debut Solo material

19 Feb.04 New compilation? UPDATE:
According to the current issue of Record Collector (UK), a new 2CD compilation will be released in March. It will be called 'Catch the Breeze.'

UPDATE: It will be released on May 24th on Castle Music(?)

19 Jan.04 Slowdive albums to be reissued?
According to recent interview with Neil Halstead. Slowdive material may be reissued this year with lots of unreleased material:

"Next year we are going to look at maybe seeing if we can get some of the albums reissued and maybe getting some unreleased stuff together. It seems like all the unreleased stuff is available on the web anyway. You think that you are the only person who has a copy of it and there it is available on the web."

Read the full interview with Neil Halstead here

(ED: A slowdive boxset, live cd and dvd would nice too! A copy of 'Slowdive' recently sold on ebay for £55 or $99, and Pygmalion goes for big money too, so let's hope this stuff gets reissued)

19 Jan.04 Slowdive tribute album
In 2002 Morr Music records in Germany released a Slowdive tribute album called 'Blue Skied an' Clear'. It was released on 2xCD and 3xLP. Check here for tracklisting and scroll to the bottom of the page.
